Beryl Cook flies from Cayman to Clevedon
The June Specialist Sale included these two original Beryl Cook oils on panel
pictured here, consigned by a Vendor based in the Cayman Islands. His
research lead to the fact that Clevedon Salerooms have sold more works by the
artist for notably higher prices that any other auction house in recent years
and the Vendor was very pleased with the reults, selling for £32,000 and
The Bristol delft plate pictured above measuring 24cm diameter circa 1740
features Neptune, Cupid and seven fish. A rare survivor, the bidders
knew that like many fishy tales, if they missed this one it really would be
the one that got away, hence the price of £6,800.
This early 19th Century sewing box formed as a cottage was purchased at a
local car boot sale for £8. The property market shows no sign of letting
up and the new owner is delighted with their £3,550 detached property.

– Payment can be made in cash as well as face-to-face credit or debit card
payment. Please note that we do not accept remote card payments.
Payments by credit card are subject to a charge of 2%. In addition we accept
payment by bank transfer and by cheque (all cheques must be cleared before
removal of goods and this may take up to 8 working days).
